Do I have to volunteer if I become a PTA member?
Not at all! Joining the PTA does not require you to volunteer. Your membership alone helps support our school, our students, and our programs. As a PTA member, you'll also stay informed about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, and important school happenings through email, the Imagine South Vero PTA Remind app, and other PTA communications. If you have time to volunteer, we'd absolutely love your help - but it's always optional. Whether you're able to lend a hand or simply stay connected, your membership makes a difference.
Why should I join the PTA?
PTA membership is one of the easiest ways to support our school. Your membership dues help fund family events, teacher appreciation, student programs, campus improvements, and other initiatives that make Imagine South Vero an even better place to learn and grow. Plus, you'll stay informed about everything happening throughout the school year.
Who can join the PTA?
Everyone is welcome! Parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, staff, alumni, family members, and community supporters can all become PTA members. You don't even need to have a student at our school to support our mission.
Does joining the PTA mean I have to attend meetings?
No. While we'd love to see you at our meetings, attendance is not required. You can participate as much or as little as your schedule allows. Our meetings are a great opportunity to stay informed about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, and initiatives that support our school. We also review our budget, discuss how PTA funds are being used, share ideas for future programs and events, and welcome feedback and suggestions from our members. Whether you attend every meeting, stop by occasionally, or simply stay connected through our communications, your membership and support help make a difference.
Who can join the PTA?
Annual PTA membership is $10 per person. Every membership helps us provide meaningful programs, events, and support for our students, teachers, and school community.
How can I volunteer?
We'd love to have you join our amazing team of volunteers! Whether you can give one hour at a single event or help throughout the year, every contribution makes a meaningful impact on our students, teachers, and school community. We especially appreciate volunteers during events like the Book Fair and Holiday Shoppe, where you can help our younger students shop for books and special gifts for their families, as well as assist with event setup, hospitality, fundraising, and other school activities throughout the year. Best of all, your time volunteering with the PTA counts toward the 10 volunteer hours required by Imagine South Vero, making it a wonderful way to fulfill your hours while creating memorable experiences for our students.
I work full-time. Can I still be involved?
Absolutely! We know life is busy, and many of our PTA members and board members balance full-time jobs, family commitments, and busy schedules. That's why we offer a variety of ways to get involved, whether you can volunteer during the school day, in the evenings, on weekends, or just for a special event. Even if you're unable to volunteer, becoming a PTA member helps support our school and keeps you informed about everything happening throughout the year. Every level of involvement matters, and we're happy to help you find an opportunity that fits your schedule.
Where does the money raised by the PTA go?
Every dollar raised by the Imagine South Vero PTA stays right here at our school to benefit our students, teachers, and school community. Funds help support family events, student activities, teacher and staff appreciation, campus improvements, educational resources, and special programs throughout the year. We also use PTA funds to help provide memorable experiences and opportunities that enrich our students' school experience. As a nonprofit organization, we carefully manage our budget to ensure every dollar makes a positive impact on our school.
How do I stay informed about PTA events and activities?
The best way to stay informed is to become a PTA member! Members receive important updates about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, and ways to get involved throughout the school year. We also encourage all families to join the Imagine South Vero PTA Remind app, follow us on Facebook, visit this website regularly, and save our PTA calendar so you never miss an event. You'll also receive important school updates through Mrs. Poirier's Manatee Memo, your teacher's Friday communications, and our monthly PTA newsletters.
